Marklund currently serves over 190 clients. 117 are residential, and the remaining individuals come from the community to utilize our day programs. Many have complex medical problems that require 24-hour skilled nursing care provided at all of our homes. We have gained the trust of over 1,800 families for the residential and therapeutic needs for their children, and we continue to be a premier provider of these individualized services. Recently, we opened a life skills classroom at our Bloomingdale location to serve students with autism. Providing residential sevices to 117 individuals. Day Programs: We operate a private non-public school serving early childhood through high school. The school has just expanded to four classrooms for students along the autism spectrum; in total the Marklund Day School has capacity of up to 60 students. We currently serve 30. Community Program: Early Intervention program caters to children under 3 years old at their homes while the Respite program provides training for volunteer respite caregivers within the community. Additionally, our Bloomingdale skilled nursing facility is home to 21 residents. These 117 children and adults enjoy appropriately designed programs tailored to their individual needs and delivered by highly qualified professionals. 3839322 0 4161858 Day Programs: The Marklund Day School, as an educational partner with area school districts, utilizes a variety of therapies, technology, and equipment to create a classroom environment conducive for learning. Developmental training program provides individualized pre-vocational programming for adults with developmental disabilities. 0 0 0 Our newly revamped Respite Education Support Tools (REST) provides training and materials to educate respite volunteers in the community at large. The REST program is currently working to embark on a Pilot program with the State of Illinois. This will provide funding to train trainers who in turn will train volunteers within the state.
