Education and outreach is also delivered through our annual print newsletter, email news services, conferences and events. During 2013 CCCDs website logged more than 31,000 unique visitors. A training program for agricultural cooperative directors included 57 participants, and CCCDs co-op leadership conference had over 122 attendees. CCCD staff provided many trainings to groups and participated in conferences organized by other organizations. Such assistance led to the incorporation of new cooperatives, the creation of new jobs and saving jobs, both directly and indirectly. CCCD is one of only a handful of cooperative development Centers dedicated to using the cooperative model to fuel economic development in distressed communities. Such projects particularly reach out to immigrant in under-served communities. Projects in Lompoc and in Richmond use the worker cooperative model to create jobs. CCCD maintains a list of private consultants who have co-op expertise and have been recommended by cooperatives, and shares this information with existing cooperatives and those in the start-up phase of cooperative development.
