End of life is an opportunity for terminally ill persons and their families to celebrate the relationships and experiences they have had during their life, as well as the coming to terms with life in general. Seasons Hospice works with the individual to help ensure each person is able to enjoy this time of development. Through their qualified and supportive hospice staff they provide comfort, including pain management, clergy support, if desired, and nursing care. Keeping the individual comfortable and free of pain enables each individual to find acceptance and fulfillment in this final stage of life.Center for Wellness and Renewal- At C. C. Young rehabilitation has taken a big step forward. A new state of the art outpatient rehabilitation gym was opened in late 2009 and covers more than 2500 square feet in the Lawther Point East building. The new gym is available to the skilled nursing residents receiving care on their medicare certified unit, and to all residents and the surrounding community through their outpatient rehab.Volunteers- They have bountiful volunteer opportunities for people with a giving spirit. They welcome church, youth, and school groups, as well as community volunteer organizations-or simply individuals who believe as they do: that seniors should be valued all through life. Volunteers discover wonderful volunteer opportunities here. At C. C. Young's three campus beauty shops, it is volunteers who style hair and provide manicures. Volunteers help out at church services, holiday festivities, ice cream socials and birthday parties. C. C. Young also has an ongoing need for hospice companions. Volunteers work on campus beautification projects and use their clerical skills for the greater good of our community. Volunteers teach arts and crafts class, play the piano, lead book discussions, or use other talents to bring living to a fine art for their residents.Pastoral Care- Pastoral Care at C. C. Young strengthens the connection of residents with their local churches, develops a wide range of spiritual programming on the C. C.
