WE ALSO INSTITUTED A "FOOD FOR THOUGHT" FEEDING PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS FAMILIES TO SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL (RATHER THAN MAKING THEM WORK TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR THE FAMILY) AND IN EXCHANGE THE FAMILIES RECEIVE MONTHLY PACKAGES OF RICE, SUGAR, BEANS, AND INCAPARINA (A HIGHLY NUTRITIONAL DRINK). SINCE IMPLEMENTING THE PROGRAM THE CHILDREN'S SCORES, WEIGHT, HEALTH, AND THE OVERALL WELLBEING OF THE FAMILIES HAS GONE UP. WE HAVE ALSO INSTITUTED A WIDOWS NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAM AND CURRENTLY WE SUPPLY 50 WIDOWS AND THEIR CHILDREN WITH NUTRITIONAL MEALS. IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES AND IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO A WIDER GEOGRAPHICAL AREA FAITH IN ACTION HAS SUPPORTED NUMEROUS MISSIONAIRIES, INCLUDING DOCTORS, DENTISTS, LABORERS, ETC. THIS WAS MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF MONEY NEEDED TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE SHOES OR RESPECTABLE CLOTHES (WITH NO HOLES SO THAT THE CHILD WOULD NOT BE ASHAMED TO ATTEND CLASSES). SO, IN RESPONSE TO THE NEEDS OF THE FAMILIES WE SERVE, FAITH IN ACTION SUPPLIES ALL THE CHILDREN WHO ATTEND SCHOOL ON A REGULAR BASIS WITH UNIFORMS.
