Projects to be funded with grant assistance are determined jointly by the board of directors of Washington's National Park Fund and the park superintendents. Progress reports are made by the park's superintendents to the Fund's board of directors throughout the year and final written reports with results are provided at the conclusion of each project. The entire relationship between each national park (Mount Rainier National Park, North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park) and Washington's National Park Fund is outlined in a "Partnership Agreement" provided by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
