Hospice respite care is available to the community. The Seabrook has a policy of supporting member nursing home patients, who through no fault of their own, have exhausted their funds. During 2013 84,104 meals were served - 56,896 to residents and 27,208 to nursing home patients. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided to independent residents on request, and to the nursing home. The Seabrook maintenance department also contributes any unneeded appliances to the Hilton Head Humane Association Thrift Store, for resale.
