The chapel has organized teams for evangelism, and a worship team, and is offering the Rooted discipleship program to all church attendees. 62604 75870 CHILDREN / YOUTH: A nationwide youth program was organized and held in Goma with 240 young people representing all but one province of Congo. The conference was named Congo UNITES and was focused on teaching Peace, Reconciliation, and Development of Congo. The conference was held over 5 days, July 25 30. 250 children are being sponsored in schools, with tuition, uniforms and school books and materials. Progress is monitored and meetings with parents held. Almost all childrens grades have improved. This year 16 graduated from high school, and only 6 were removed from the program. Over 250 children come to two different sessions of after school programs teaching general ed subjects, leadership principles and language skills. The staff also taught 40 former soldiers from Peace Live Center. 61217 72550 MEN: 4,305 men participated in the Sons of Congo discipleship program in 2014, 8 radio episodes of the program were recorded for broadcast, program materials continue to be translated into Swahili and Lingala, with Part II being translated in 2014. UJN reports all of its expenditures to the organization quarterly in detail (chart of accounts level of detail).No less than once each year an officer of the organization travels to Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo to meet with the UJN financial administrator, and reviews UJNs operations, expenditures and variances from budget. The Congo UNITES conference was covered and broadcast along with other programs on peace and reconciliation. Additional radio stations started using our programming. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: LEADERSHIP ACADEMY: Held 3 training conferences for Sons of Congo leaders, trained 53 persons in Goma, 37 graduated from the program in Goma, and 24 in Butembo. 5 schools are receiving training from our staff and alumni of the program.
