PART III, LINE 2 - METHODOLOGY USED TO ESTIMATE BAD DEBT AT COST: THE COST TO CHARGE RATIO PER THE S-10 WORKSHEET OF THE MEDICARE COST REPORT IS USED TO ESTIMATE BAD DEBT AT COST. After all reasonable collection efforts have been exhausted in accordance with CFNI's policy, accounts receivable are written off and charged against the allowance for bad debts.
