These programs, the Ursula Sherman Village Single Adult Program and Family Transitional Shelter in Berkeley and the South County Homeless Project in Hayward, provided emergency housing to up to 87 households per night and to 319 households over FY 2013-2014 (including 40 children). 110 individuals were chronically homeless prior to entering our programs. During this period, 56 households exited to permanent housing. Mental Health - Mental health program(s) provided intensive case management, mental health services, recovery services, employment, and life skills to over 350 individuals in both outpatient and residential settings. Services also provide housing, employment and benefits eligibility workshops to increase participant income and placement in permanent housing. The programs include training & development with motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Seeking Safety in our ongoing commitment to trauma-informed services at all programs, including our emergency shelters, transitional housing programs and outpatient mental health services. Transitional Housing - Six transitional housing programs, Sankofa House and McKinley House in Berkeley, Rosa Parks House and Casa Maria in Oakland, and Pacheco Court, South County Sober Housing in Hayward, and Housing Stabilization (a scattered site leasing program in partnership with Women's Daytime Drop-in Center) provided supportive services and residential support for 232 individuals (122 single individuals and 37 families with children (41 adults and 69 children).
