Keeping Kids in SchoolHouston reVision partnered in 2014 with Spring Branch ISD to pilot a radical new approach to discipline and care for youth on the edge. reVision provides intensive tutoring support, mentoring, group talk therapy, and clinical therapy as needed for students who have exhibited severe discipline problems in school and who are on the brink of dropping out and entering the juvenile justice system. reVision Outreach Workers also work to engage youth in prosocial activities including sports, art, dance, and service projects. The project recognizes the limits of harsh discipline and the transformational potential of authentic, caring relationships in the lives of troubled youth.
