GDI advocates for data transparency, accountability and increase resources to improve organizations' diversity and inclusion. In 2014 Green 2.0: 1) released the "Diversity in Environmental Institutions: Mainstream NGOs, Foundations & Government Agencies" report, commissioned from Prof. Dorceta Taylor, which is the most comprehensive report on diversity in the mainstream environmental movement and was widely covered by the press; 2) ln collaboration with GuideStar and the D5 Coalition, launched a landmark initiative to transparently track diversity data and best practices. This will establish, for the first time, a baseline of data from environmental NGOs and funders, from which progress can be tracked; 3) Won validation from key national environmental NGO, foundation, government and business leaders, and support from the public.
