The population we serve includes veterans, the formerly homeless, those coming home from incarceration, people displaced from other countries or industries, and others who have been out of the workforce for an extensive period. We help these men and women become self-sufficient through the power of work. More than 80% of the revenue funding our organization comes from selling goods generously donated by residents of our three counties. We operate 33 donation sites, 21 stores, an eCommerce business, and a salvage operation - staffed by people participating in our job training programs. Through our business activities, SFGoodwill also plays a critical role in the region's environmental stewardship by diverting more than 21 million pounds from local landfills on average each year. 0 0 28071398 34661693 Harnessing the power of donated goods to grow the impact of our social enterprise, SFGoodwill utilized over 717,922 donations transactions last year to provide jobs, job training, and services to people with barriers to employment. Our warehouse, transportation, donations and retail functions provide on-the-job training and contextualized learning to our target population. Last fiscal year, we were able to serve 1,098 employees and provide career services to 4,687 of participants and community members. 4172618 0 Our Workforce Development services address many barriers to employment through job readiness training, on-the-job-learning, and replacement and retention services. Last year, SFGoodwill placed our participants in 640 jobs and transitional employment opportunities. In addition, SFGoodwill provided education, job training and employment services to 1,600 people in our 3-county region, and 15,533 visits were made to our Comprehensive Access Point Job Center. Other services address the needs of specific at-risk populations, including Back-on-Track, a partnership with the San Francisco District Attorney, Department of Children, Youth and Families and Family Services Agency which offers non-violent, first time offenders the opportunity to start clean and maintain stable careers and lives.
