We enable self-expression and positive personal development so that young people can successfully re-enter their communities and find a path to a fulfilling future. 0 0 219036 12793 Youth Studio:The Youth Studio is an introduction to art and design fundamentals, for youth inside juvenile detention facilities including the San Francisco Juvenile Justice Center, Los Guilicos Juvenile Hall and Probation Camp in Sonoma County, and San Mateo Youth Services Center. During FY 2014-2015 900 instructional hours were delivered to 1,248 youth. By introducing art materials, techniques, and the creative process in a formal large group setting, youth are exposed to positive methods for expression and communication. 52097 Creative Futures:Creative Futures is a continuation of Youth Studio for post-incarcerated youth residing in transitional residential settings. During FY 2014-2015 96 instructional hours were delivered to 35 youth residing at the San Francisco Boys' and Girls' Group Homes. This program provides a deeper exploration into art and design thinking. The Organization requires all new board members, officers and key employees to disclose any conflicts of interest. The organization periodically reviews the conflict of interest policy with all affected individuals and documents the results. Should there be a conflict of interest, the board would review the issue and act according to the written policy. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 Annually, the board reviews the executive director's compensation. The review includes consideration of comparable data and relevant information. The executive director does not attend any compensation meetings, does not participate in the review process nor has access to any data or information used by the board in its deliberations. The reviews and recommendations are documented and include, all of the data, other resources and any calculations. The recommendations are approved by the whole board. The results are noted in the board minutes.
