The investment gains generated by the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation are intended to provide a perpetual and dependable source of revenue for the Kathy Hospice, a home-like hospice center owned and operated by St. Joseph's Hospital, and may be utilized to assist St.Joseph's Hospital with any current deficits of operational expenses it assumes on behalf of Kathy Hospice each year. Froedtert Hospital Foundation maintains several types of endowment funds. The board designated/quasi-endowment funds were created to support the financial needs of various departments and programs in Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. For permanently restricted endowment funds, the intent of the funds depends on the restriction that applies to that particular endowment, as prescribed by the donor. Depending on the particular endowment, the intended uses include fellowships, research and educational resources for the community. The Community Memorial Foundation of Menomonee Fall's board designated endowment was created to support long range financial needs of Community Memorial Hospital of Menomonee Falls and its programs. Part X : FIN48 Footnote Froedtert Health, Inc. applies ASC No. 740, Income Taxes, which clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in a company's financial statements. ASC No. 740 prescribes a more-likely than-not recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken.
