Thanks to the generous support of our volunteers, donors and corporate partners, 2015 was a momentous year in the life of Give Kids The World Village. We unveiled the new Towne Hall, which includes Cafe Clayton, a food court, and The Hoppening Place, a multipurpose space used to entertain guests during inclement weather. We also logged in excess of 300,000 volunteer hours. Seriously ill children between the ages of 3 and 18 stay, with their families, at Give Kids The World's 79-acre facility in Central Florida, just minutes from Orlando's world-famous attractions. In addition to accommodations, GKTW provides meals, nightly entertainment and much more. The resort features two pools, miniature golf, a carousel and a life-size game of CANDY LAND. Within the 7,738 families we served last year, we reached the bittersweet milestone of receiving our 142,500 family to the Village for their once in a lifetime wish trip. In hosting these families GKTW distributed more than 160,000 attraction tickets, logged over 300,000 volunteer hours, served over 320,000 meals and scooped up over 9,000 gallons of ice cream.
