Working collaboratively with the Temple Israel Board of Directors, Executive Director and Finance Director, the Foundation monitors the grants to ensure they were spent for the intended purpose. In addition, the Foundation Board receives periodic reports on the use and impact of the grants. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 3 In accord with an agreement between the Foundation and Temple Israel (Temple), the Foundation procures (for a fee) various development and administrative services from Temple. Temple is a 501(c)3 organization, excepted from filing a Form 990 under the "church" exception. Rabbi Zimmerman is employed by the Temple. As the Temple is not in the business of being a management company and is excepted from filing Form 990, the amount of remuneration provided is withheld.
