Computers for Everyone, Inc acted as fiscal agent for this project. It is held annually to encourage young children's interest in reading. Approximately 300 people participated in this one day event. 3000 13500 Connecting Parent to Schools. Children in our community are now required to register for high school on line. Many parents are not sufficiently familiar with the process. Computers for Everyone received a grant to help the parents of eighth graders in the Ravenswood City School District with this process. We provided people to help and 8 complete computer systems to for the school to provide to parents as an incentive to participate in the activities. Our executive director was supposed to have filed our taxes, but due to a serious accident in her family was forced to quit suddenly without informing us that she had not done the taxes. Hence the board members were not aware that the filing had not been done and that they would be expected to do it until someone asked about it in January 2016. At this point I took on the task and had to learn what was required and how to use the data in our Quickbooks system to fill in the taxes. This will not happen again, as all the board members are now aware that they are responsible to making sure someone does this.
