Our annual Public Policy and Education Day was held in Sacramento in March where advocates, families, and youth met with legislators to discuss pediatric palliative and hospice care issues. CHPCC also worked on the development of pediatric decision-making guides which will be distributed to providers in the winter.CHPCCs Partnership for Children program increased access to medical care for children with life-threatening conditions through the provision of a total of 1,298 transports to medical appointments 274 rides were provided by drivers in CHPCCs vehicles, and 1,024 transports were provided via gas cards to families who have access to a vehicle. The number of families we serve continues to grow considerably each year, with 157 families served during this fiscal year.CHPCC also provided safety net financial subsidy support for 13 families for basic living expenses such as rent and utilities, totaling $6,000.
