Our program combines a sequential K-8 art curriculum based on historically significant works of art with lesson-specific art supplies, hands-on and online training of teachers and parent volunteers, and support for schools that participate in the program. Since its inception over 33 years ago, Art in Action has delivered a powerful visual arts education to over 400,000 students and has trained over 13,000 teachers and parent volunteers to teach our dynamic curricula. As part of our mission to bring arts education to as many students as possible, Art in Action helps subsidize the program through fundraising and partnerships to keep fees affordable, especially in low-income areas and those that have little access to art education.
