ELP Senior Fellows applying for this grant must collaborate with at least one other Senior Fellow, submit a project proposal which includes evaluations protocols for their project as well as a theory of change, and provide a detailed presentation about their project through ELP's Webinar Series. Proposals are reviewed by an external (non-ELP staff) committee who meet by phone to discuss each proposal and critique them by using a decision rubric and their expert opinions on which projects are the most innovative and/or most likely to succeed. At the conclusion of each project, Innovation Grant Teams present their results to ELP and the general public through a webinar. Innovation Grant Webinars are open to the general public to provide both transparency in the work as well as to spur conversation about the projects and hopefully spur replication and scaling efforts. All webinars are recorded and available in ELP's Webinar Archive www.elpnet.org/webinar-archive. A portion of each grant award is held until the webinar has been completed - indicating successful completion of the project. Form 990, Part III, line 2 RAY Marine Conservation Diversity Fellowship: Inspired by efforts to increase diversity in the marine conservation field, The Roger Arliner Young (RAY) Marine Conservation Diversity Fellowship Program is a response to the call for mainstream environmental organizations to address the lack of diversification within the field. The RAY Fellowship Program is a year-long paid fellowship designed to equip recent college graduates from diverse backgrounds with the tools and support systems they need to become leaders of a new conservation field; one that fully represents the rich and diverse communities within the United States. Program Overview: RAY Fellows will be placed within one of our partner organizations for a year-long paid fellowship position, with the resources and support to develop experiences that will launch them onto a path of career growth in the conservation field. Fellows will work with mentors, grow their networks, and forge lasting relationships with their cohort of fellows. RAY Fellowship positions are full time paid positions for one year. Fellows will be eligible to receive health benefits from their place of employment. Fellows will also receive a stipend of $1,000 to go towards professional development opportunities, in addition to coordinated professional development through their host organizations and the Environmental Leadership Program.
