Our programs provide medically safe housing and a supportive community while also addressing the financial burdens families face. Our primary program objective is to offer a "Safe-Clean and resident-focused housing facility which provides innovative, independent living accommodations and support programs to immune compromised children and their families. In 2015 we continued to fully utilize our facilities, operating at 90% or greater occupancy throughout the year and serving 100% See schedule O for continuationof hospital-referred patients in Brent's Place highest priority admission bracket as determined and approved by the Board of Directors. Additionally, Brent's Place provided housing and support programs to all of our families cost-free. Following this review, the 990 is reviewed by the Finance and Audit committee and a copy is given to each voting member of the board of directors before its submission to the IRS. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c At an annual meeting, the members of the board of directors review the conflict of interest policy statement and state any potential conflicts of interest according to the policy. They are asked to sign a policy statment annually disclosing any existing conflicts of interest and the mitigating steps being implemented to resolve the conflicts, or confirming that there are no conflicts of interest. Employees are also asked to complete and sign a conflict of interest questionnaire upon hire and on an annual basis thereafter. Compliance with the policy is monitored by the Executive Director. This report is categorized by size of organization, budget, job description and is used regularly to determine base salaries. Staff salaries are determined by the Executive Director in consultation with the President of the Foundation. The Executive Director's salary is determined by the Board of Directors who based compensation on performance and on that of similar positions at other organizations of similar size and budget in the community.
