The clothing is collected by each participating entry and assembled at the organizations sorting site during the first weekend of December. Volunteers assist with the sorting of donated clothing, the fulfillment of clothing requests from area shelters and similar organizations, and the delivery of requested clothing to facilities. Donations are made during the late fall, in order to allow shelters to provide warm clothing to the homeless population they serve. Funds for the purchase of such items are collected from individual and coprorate donations made throughout the year, including the winter Clothing Drive and a "Battle of the Law Firm Bands" contest
