IAPW is helping break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by constructing and renovating schools in the world's most economically poor countries. To fulfill this vision, IAPW has partnered with Buildon (a 501(c)(3) organization) for construction of schools in developing countries. Through our partnership with Buildon, IAPW has built 24 schools in Mali, Malawi, Senegal, burkina faso, Haiti, Nicaragua And Nepal, hosting over 3,800 students. many of the schools now also host adult literacy programs which further benefit and enrich the communities. 138538 AMBASSADORS OF CHANGE - Our Youth Ambassador program offers teens 14-18 years in Los Angeles and DC the opportunity to make a difference in their community. Our continued work with Free Arts MN provides a safe environment for youth to engage in healing self-expression and build positive relationships with caring adults. In 2015, IAPW formed a new partnership with Horton's Kids to expand the reach of their Community Resource Center, which was established in 2011 to serve Washington, DC's poorest, most at-risk neighborhoods where the annual income is under $10,000 per family.
