Clients served: 649 4th Graders (Aug 2015-June 2016). Across 7 school partnerships 452 Bikes were earned. Additionally, we offerered an Earn a Bike Program for an organization where parents earn bikes for their kids. 40 inidividuals participated in this event in November 2015. Activity's objective: Short term: Improve kids success in the areas of academics, character, and service , and health and fitness while allowing them to earn a bike. Long term: Develop kids in the areas of academics, character, and service, for success in life while introducing them to a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, we sponsored an event through Boys and Men of Color where 21 men earned bikes, locks, and helmets through a community service outreach project. 12711 10000 Active Commute - Primary Exempt Purpose: We install a tracking device on sight at a partnering school which tracks the number of times elementary kids walk or bike to school. These kids are then rewarded to do so. Clients served: 4343, K Thru 6th Graders across 7 partnering schools. (Sept 2015 to June 2016), Days of service: approximately 181 Day of care: Approx. 90. Events held: Each students earns $.10 per trip to spend at our Mobile Store which houses various items for various amounts. Activity's objective: Short term: Begin combatting the issue of childhood obesity through encouraging kids to actively commute to school. Long term objective: Encourage an active lifestyle. K-6th graders commuted a total of 57,392 miles burning approx. 2.3 million calories 16263 20575 Bike Repair Program - Primary Tax Exempt Purpose: Repair Bikes at no cost to individuals in need thus creating opportunity for these individuals, both adults and children, to stay active on their bikes. During our bike repairs, our volunteers lead a bike repair clinic teaching kids basic bike repair skills. Once mastery of the skill is demonstrated, each kid receives his or her own bike repair tool kit.
