In addition, the funding was used to provide proper training to local healthcare workers as well as free maternity care. 70715 WIRETRANSFER 1 false false false false false false Schedule F Part V-Monitoring The Foundation and Freedom from Fistula Foundation (UK) ("FFFF UK"), a non-profit charitable trust organized and operating under the laws of Scotland, share the common charitable mission to conduct and support meaningful and effective maternal healthcare initiatives and programs to prevent, treat, and repair obstetric fistulas in women and girls, primarily in Africa. In light of FFFF UK's experience and expertise in successfully delivering free maternal healthcare services, particularly treatment of obstetric fistulas in Africa. The foundation coordinates with FFFF UK in the operation and oversight of the charitable healthcare programs and activities the Foundation supports. As such, pursuant to an Association Agreement between the charities, the Foundation directs its support of the charitable mission programs and activites in coordination with FFFF UK. Accordingly, the Foundation will, from time to time, transfer funds for deposit in trust with FFFF UK to be applied, as approved by the Foundation, to designated obstetric fistula healthcare programs. The Foundation maintains control over transferred funds on deposit. When application of foundation funds is contemplated, FFFF UK makes a specific proposal to the Foundation which then must approve or disapprove any such proposed application of funds. The Foundation maintains books and records to properly account for all transferred funds and received from FFFF UK a full accounting, including periodic and annual reports and statements concerning the maintenance and application of all such funds. In addition, the Independent Audits of Foundation Funds on deposit with FFFF UK is provided to the Foundation, and Foundation officers make site visits to facilities where obstetric fistula programs supported by the Foundation are opertaing to ensure funds are being applied effectively in support of the mission. Goverance Members of the Board are provided an electronic copy of the Form 990 for review prior to filing. Compensation Compensation for the Executive Director is determined by the Board based on responsibilities of the individual, and consideration of market conditions. Conflict of Interest The Foundation has a written Conflict of Interest Policy the requires each Director, officer & member of the Board of Directors to annually affirm that they have a copy & understand the policy and agrees to comply with the policy.
