We have seen the transformative value of higher education and are wholeheartedly committed to establishing the process that enables our students to inherit a contributory role facilitating self-improvement and allowing them to reclaim a future, even beyond the walls of the prison.2. Achievements during the 2015 yearFully developed 6 new courses to be delivered by correspondence Delivered over 450 course packets to 243 students in the SPRING 2015 semesterDeliver over 650 course packets to 397 students in the FALL 2015 semesterReached students in 37 states in the United States at over 120 state and federal institutions Increased our student population from 4% to 15% (15 students to 70 students) Developed, facilitated and graded all courses at no cost to the students due to our extensive fundraising for student aid. Began a semester system to replace the individual track system which we previously had. This allowed students to receive material in a more consistent fashion especially as the student population grew. Developed extensive outreach material to reflect the work that our students are doing, including a full color calendar showcasing our students artwork. Completed a financial audit by an independent auditor. This was done voluntarily by our organization. The auditor found that 93% of our funds go to programs as well as other favorable findings. Began a partnership program with masjid communities to collaborate by assisting in their needs of prison outreach while receiving support from those communities.
