TCW provides career readiness training, advanced technical training, job placement and career advising to help Tulsans advance their careers and earn more money. TCW underwent a random control trial showing participants earn higher wages, have higher job satisfaction, complete training and find employment in the targeted sector. In 2015, TCW placed 113 individuals into jobs with 43 of these individuals receiving a wage increase of 5% or more. A total of 66 men and women began training in 2015.In 2015, Career Directions enrolled over 350 people and recorded placements for 258 individuals into various industry sectors, including healthcare, social services, and administrative/support services. The average wage for placements in 2015 was $14.09. Our 90-day confirmed job retention rate was over 70% and over 50% for 1-year retention of individuals placed in 2014.In 2015, over 175 men and women enrolled in Career Connections and 76 individuals were placed in jobs in various sectors like food service, transportation and retail and customer service.
