Compensation for CEO positions of similar size and mission type organizations were considered. The CEO's recommended compensation was presented and approved by the independent board. The process was documented in the board minutes. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15b: In the past the process for determining compensation for all employees, including the CEO, involved a matrix of job classification, job experience, tenure, whether they raised individual staff support, and geographic location. The independent salary committee would review the information mentioned above to approve the compensation packages, noting their decision in the board minutes. This process has not taken place since 2008 as a result of a salary freeze.
