In 2016, 105 Navy First Class Petty Officer students and 25 Chief Petty Officer Mentors benefited from this biannual program that changed their leadership habits and positively impacted their life and the lives of those they lead. 10527 Chief Petty Officer Legacy Academy provides instruction on teamwork alongside Chief and Navy heritage. 125 Navy enlisted Chief Petty Officer selectees and 29 Chief Petty Officers attended. Two classes run back to back in August and September to help leaders (Selectees) transition to their new promotion and prepare for leading former peers and junior Sailors. This command greatly improves command moral and success. 24172 The Leading Petty Officer Academy provides a knowledge based foundation to Navy Second Class Petty Officers on being a LPO before becoming a LPO. 125 participated in 4 seminars during 2016.
