I am requesting that you not access penalties for late filing of the return. I am requesting that you provide an extension for Northside Youth and Senior Service Center, Inc. On May 13, 2017, I electronically submitted and extension through my software ATX. My computer showed that this return was submitted to IRS. When I came back to accept the acknowledgements all my files were gone. I called my software provider and after a lot of red tape they recovered most of my files. I later noticed that I was missing 2 more files. I called them to ask about the two missing files. I paid ATX an additional fee so that they could retrieve the file. They informed me that they could not recover those two files. One of these files was my extension for Northside Youth and Senior Service Center, Inc and the other file was a tax return that I had submitted and charged the client for. I continued to try and get this resolved. At this time I called the IRS and asked what I could do. They told me to write a letter of explanation and send it in with an extension request. I did that but I think my letter got separated from the extension request when I sent the letter in. I am asking again to provide me this extension and not access late penalties for filing the return. I count on electronic tax filing software on a daily basis to send in tax returns. This is the one time there was a problem with the software and software company.
