Project QUEST, a nonprofit organization in San Antonio, helps local residents access skills training to achieve its goals of promoting long-term employment and higher incomes among residents while meeting local businesses needs for skilled workers and enhancing the areas economic vitality. CFUF provides fathers and their families parenting and family stability services, job-readiness and occupational skills training, job placement and re-employment services, retention and advancement assistance, and health relationship activities. In addition, through its intensive case management and supportive services team and partner agencies, CFUF provides holistic services to address the complex needs of fathers and their families, including assistance in the areas of housing, physical and mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, child support, legal aid, personal development, and work supports. The evaluation will assess the impact of BRFP on fathers engagement with their children, financial support of their children, co-parenting skills, economic stability, healthy relationship skills, and criminal justice involvement during the 12 months after enrollment. The study will include 1,000 fathers and will rely on data from state agencies regarding fathers earnings, child support payments, and criminal justice involvement and from a survey about fathers relationships with their children and partners and their receipt of parenting, relationship, and employment services. Data collection will take place from 2017 through 2019. Mobility will write a final report on the studys findings in 2020. 70677 ACE Technical AssistanceMobility is providing technical assistance to ACE, an $11.9 million four-state, nine-site initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Labors Workforce Innovation Fund grant program. ACE is a collaborative effort among nine Workforce Investment Boards and their partner community colleges to improve job training opportunities and outcomes for approximately 1,300 low-skilled job seekers through programs that integrate basic skills and occupational skills training and provide career navigation services. Supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Mobility has provided technical assistance to ACE from program model development through implementation.
