By acknowledging the impact that stress and trauma has on our health, we can develop skills to cope with bad experiences and develop strategies to prevent them. Resilient KC is a community-wide effort to build a trauma aware and resilient Kansas City community. It's a partnership between the KC Chamber's Healthy KC initiative and Trauma Matters KC. 22065 125000 JP MORGANThe remaining $100,000 has been earmarked to support two initiatives: our GoGlobalKC micro-grant program ($90,000) and toward export training/scholarships for all 18 regional Economic Development Agencies ($10,000). Our micro-grant program has been created to provide small & medium sized businesses additional resources to increase their export capacity and activity. The program will make grants available to qualified SME's to help cover costs associated with companies' costs to build export capacity and activities. Companies apply for an Export Grant through a competitive application process (we started taking applications in October of this year). Recipients will be selected by a Selection Committee (they convene for the first time in January 2017) to receive a grant of up to $5,000 to be allocated toward pre-approved costs incurred by the company as they engage in export activities. Companies are required to: 1) submit expense reports, and 2) commit to reporting related export figures and activities, in order to receive reimbursement.
