Teton Literacy Center enourages parents in their role as their child's primary teacher and educational advocate. Family Literacy opportunities include; parent education, child education, parent time, and parent and child together time. Parents are encouraged to be involved in their child's education, learn strategies to increase their child's academic success, and to increase their own personal literacy goals. 80 families, and 226 participants benefited from Family Literacy programs during fiscal year 2015-2016. 209639 The Teton Literacy Center offers various Enrichment programs to advocate literacy. Some examples of these enrichment programs are; After School Clubs, Family Book Clubs, Early Release Day Camps, Summer Camps, and Club Summer. These programs work to enrich reading, writing, and language skills for children and their families. Through literacy tutoring, students gain confidence and develop reading fluency, along with building skills in comprehension, word decoding, and writing. Tutoring sessions are offered on a one-to-one basis to focus on personalized literacy needs.
