Participants gathered Monday-Friday, from 8am-5pm. Each day included breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. The mornings consisted of academics, especially science and math as well as reading. It also included basketball camp, robotics, sewing and workshops steered toward the development of social skills and values in our youth. Afternoon's consisted of arts/crafts, swimming, library, and various sports.Sports Program: This program offered Saturday Sports Programs for 65 children ages 6 through 14 for an 8-week period throughout the year. Basketball was offered during the winter/spring and flag football in the fall. In addition to Saturday Sports the organization offered swimming lessons in the summer and karate in the winter and fall. 40703 19597 After School Program: This past year the program served 9 children in after school by providing snacks, homework assistance, sports, music, Spanish class, computers and arts and crafts. This program operates through the school year, Monday thru Friday for about 4 hours per day.Office of Social Concern: An office of social concern was opened in September 2016. The objective of this Social Concerns office is to serve as an advocate and a resource for families, seniors or any individual of our community who may be facing any difficulty. The office is open Monday-Friday 8:30-12:30pm. The organization served as a point of contact for emergency assistance, referrals to other agencies and fax services. The organization also provided computers with internet access for jobs seekers. 48924 Food Program: This program offered non-perishable groceries to approximately 160 families and individuals on the last Friday of each month. The food program also provides meals five days a week to seniors in a congregate setting as well as meals on wheels. Any conflict of interest that arises is resolved by the board members and is recorded in the official board minutes. Compensation levels are reviewed and compared to current and proposed salaries for all staff, pending available information. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19 The Organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to the general public upon request. Part XII Line 2c-Committe Oversight of the Reviewed Financial Statements: The auditor meets with the Board of Directors making a full presentation at the completion of the review answering any of the Board of Director's questions. The auditor works closely with the Board of Directors during the year should any concerns arise.
