CCS' community outreach programs for the Deaf served 580 people with case management and life skills education, counseling and support services. 430 Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals received vocational services including on-the-job training and job supports/training. 2,275 Deaf and DeafBlind clients received 33,777 hours of interpreting. 105 DeafBlind people received 15,207 hours of support services from trained service providers; 66 received assessment, communication equipment and individualized training. 50 youth received ASL domestic violence education. CCS' Community Living Program provided residential living support for 47 individuals with disabilities, ranging from a few hours each day to 24-hour comprehensive care in a licensed group home. 7397060 7415004 The goal of Catholic Community Services' Family and Children's Services is to help build strong and healthy families in which children are protected, happy and thriving. CCS helps meet immediate/fundamental needs, helps those in transition to become stable; and supports families as they achieve strong, secure and independent lives. Pio Decimo Center provided 2,265 families with food, clothing and household items; its volunteers and staff prepared over 7,000 tax returns for low-income families, resulting in nearly $10.6 million in tax refunds. CCS programs for children/families included: child abuse prevention; family counseling; domestic violence programs; transitional housing for homeless families; special needs and infant adoption; foster family care; supervised visitation; low-cost day care and after school programs; financial and foreclosure avoidance education; matched-savings for home-ownership, post-secondary education and small business development. 2305451 2603659 234,009 meals for elderly and disabled individuals were provided through Catholic Community Services' home-delivered meal program and congregate nutrition centers throughout Southern Arizona. CCS helped 123 refugee families from 13 countries re-settle and adjust to their new homes. CCS also worked with 492 families (over 1,130 people) in their efforts to unite with family members and immigrate to the United States.
