In 2016, Elevate Your G.A.M.E. added a Mentoring Through Music Project to this overall Mentoring Program. Through the Mentoring Through Music Project, urban youth at its program sites and outside of the program sites were mentored by using uniquely created music to engage urban youth in mentoring conversations on specific topics. 14303 0 10297 Summer Internship Program: Provided internships for 35 urban teenagers from Compton High School, Dominguez High School (Compton), Cabrillo High School (Long Beach) and the Northpointe Apartments (Long Beach). Interns worked at job sites for 3 weeks and received eight hours of job training. Objectives achieved: Students were exposed to various careers and taught work ethnic and professionalism. The board decided that there was no conflict of interest and that the organization was receiving a fair quote for the proposed services and that the quote was lower than other music production companies. The board then voted to approve the proposed contract agreement with Dr3amForever for the creation of original songs for Elevate Your G.A.M.E.'s Mentoring Through Music Project. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b The Form 990 is emailed to the board for their review. Through this process if any errors are found, corrections are made and then the 990 is finalized and submitted. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The board is required to read and sign the conflict of interest policy once a year. If a potential conflict of interest business transaction arises, the board (apart from the member involved in the possible transaction) makes a decision on whether or not the transaction would be a conflict of interest. If the board decides that it would not be, then the organization conducts the transaction. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Executive Director: Salary data was obtained from a credible website that compiles this information for nonprofit organizations. From this information, the board determined that the salary that it approved for the executive director was in line with the average salary amounts being paid to similar executive directors of organizations of similar budget size and staffing size.
