Burundi was the lowest per capita GDP in 2015 according to the World Bank. Political and ethnic conflict has had a negative impact on the social and economic development in the region. Think East Africa is working to provide the basic need of water as efficiently as possible to the people of Burundi. In 2016 we completed constrution, training and maintenance of 105 previous water wells, completed construction of 15 new water wells, and started construction of 33 new water wells. We have implemented a maintenance program to provide training, parts and support to sustain new and previously constructed wells. Grants were provided to support African Revival Ministries minsitries in the region along with grants to suppport The Cries of a Child's children's homes and clinic in Bukeye.
