While there is no formal endowment policy, the society's endowments follow the guidelines and objectives from the society's investment policy. Part X, Line 2: The society applies guidance issued by the financial accounting standards board (FASB) relating to uncertainty in income taxes. This guidance requires entities to assess their tax positions for the likelihood that they would be overturned upon internal revenue service (IRS) examination or upon examination by state taxing authorities.
