The Foundation through its arboretum project has identified sites throughout the park to eradicate invasive plant species, restore native horticulture and animal habitat, and install hardscape for beautification and educational purposes.The Foundation began the site work, plantings, and other phases of the Children's Garden in 2016. The project was completed in September 2016. The Foundation also utilized the help of volunteers from the community to assist in the clearing along the Cliff Walk site.
