Clinical also provided information and referral services in over 9,698 phone calls in both English and Spanish. Behavioral Health/PTSD counseling services were provided to 144 veterans and their families through the Veteran's programs. In addition, general assistance funds were distributed to 824 veterans and their families. The results of the Veterans program was evaluated independently by UNTHSC. Housing and case management services were provided to 45 formerly homeless clients while networking with other organizations to provide a holistic approach to overcoming obstacles facing homeless clients. The homeless were also served through the Healthy Community Collaborative where 218 homeless persons received a mental health diagnosis and 179 different homeless persons received 450 counseling sessions. 1324800 18009 The Education and Prevention department provided 54,229 youth and 20,810 adults with Health and Wellness education/ services within Tarrant, Johnson, Parker, Wise, and Denton counties in 185 different school and community site locations. 5,558 youth receiving multi-week evidence based curriculum programming that reduced at risk behaviors and improved academic/classroom performance. Of the total youth served, 5% were age 4 and under, 65% were ages 5-11, 22% were ages 12-14, and 8% were ages 15-17. Three, 1-week camps were held for youth living in shelters and youth of the families served through RRC.
