We are rebuilding schools in Darkha VDC of Dhading district that were destroyed in the April 2015 earthquake. We completed the third building at Chandra Devi Primary school, which houses the principal's office and the school's library. We completed a two classroom building at Nimal Chyat Basic school in Brichet, which serves the youngest students at this school. We installed a solar lighting system at Langchyat Basic school. 78 0 0 Builder Training - a local resident of Darkha was sent to apprentice with a welder to enhance his skills. 5325 0 5245 Collected hiking boots for our Shoes for Sherpas program. This program has distributed over 2500 pairs of hiking boots and running shoes to Nepali porters and villagers. Collection sites are set up at a few locations in metro Denver. In 2017 hiking boots and running shoes were distributed to persons living in the Solukhumbu (Everest) region. This footwear was transported and distributed by the NGO Hike for Help, and so our organization did not incur any shipping costs related to this distribution. 10 0 0 Education: an American English teacher came to volunteer in the local high school.
