At those gatherings we brought together a broad range of groups e.g. community based organizations, city and state agencies, real estate developers, arts organizations, makerspaces, manufacturers, educators, etc. to explore how we can collectively make the manufacturing sector more competitive in our cities while at the same time, making our cities more just, equitable places to live. In Seattle, our keynote speaker was Hans Maas from RDM Center of Expertise in Rotterdam, highlighting an internationally renowned model for manufacturing training, business incubation and innovation.
