In this way, here are some accomplishments in 2016-17:834 Secret Pocket scholarships were given to children in need. 1,344 Reading Lab Visits were provided for under-served students in the Fast ForWord reading lab.587 students were trained in literacy and sports from under-served neighborhoods.1831 "Buddy Students" from 20 Fresno County schools were taught dance, gymnastics, martial arts, and sign language.552 Veterans received HOPE services and participated in archery, health and fitness, military games, boot camp, performing arts classes and theater, swimming, and community outreach opportunities. Veterans received aftercare and mobility training services, PTSD life-coaching, dance lessons to enable them to participants in performing theater, daily fitness and competitive sports training for the Valor Games, Golden Age Games, The World Archery Shoot, and 15 other competitions.116 students on the Autism spectrum were given one-on-one swim lessons.179,250 approximated people were impacted by trainers of inclusion through performance and guided curriculum locally, regionally and in the Philippines.Through 5 major events, Break the Barriers was able to demonstrate inclusion at its finest:The Nutcracker- through 3 shows with 1357 in attendance which included 150 Buddy students and 50 underserved youth.Take Me to The Circus- through 4 performances 1023 attended and included 150 Buddy students and 175 dance students and 25 Special Olympics kids.
