This is one of a number of goals. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 ACPM has several classes of members (Associate, Fellow, Member, Affiliate, Resident, Emeritus, and Medical Student). The Associate, Fellow, Member and Affiliate classes of membership have the voting rights. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a Members (Associate, Fellow, Member and Affiliate membership) elect the Board of Directors. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b A copy of the Form 990 is first reviewed by the Controller and Executive Director, then forwarded to the Finance Committee and the Board for review and approval. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Conflict of interest forms are distributed to the Board and staff at the beginning of each year. The office manager insures that all forms are completed by the February Board meeting. Forms are shared with the Ethics Committee which reviews them to ensure there are no conflicts that need to be resolved or managed. If there are conflicts, the Ethics Committee reports these to the Executive Committee for action. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 The Executive Committee determines the compensation of the Executive Director. During the budget process, the Executive Director makes a recommendation for salary increases for all employees including an increase to his base salary. These increases are approved as part of the budget process (The Finance Committee reviews and makes recommendations to the Executive Committee for approval of budget). The Executive Committee reviews comparable association CEO compensation studies periodically. The Executive Director's bonus is determined by the Executive Committee's review of his performance against goals and measurements set in advance.
