The population we serve includes veterans, the formerly homeless, those coming home from incarceration, people displaced from other countries or industries, and others who have been out of the workforce for an extensive period. We help these men and women become self-sufficient through the power of work. We operate 33 donation sites, 21 stores, an eCommerce business, and a salvage operation - staffed by people participating in our job training programs. Revenue generated from selling donated goods helps support our job training and placement programs. Through our business activities, SFGoodwill also plays a critical role in the region's environmental stewardship by diverting more than 10,979,816 pounds from local landfills on average each year. 0 0 31284251 0 34126237 Harnessing the power of donated goods to grow the impact of our social enterprise, SFGoodwill utilized over 805,204 donations transactions last year to provide jobs, job training, and services to people with barriers to employment. Our warehouse, transportation, donations, and retail functions provide on-the-job training and contextualized learning opportunities to our target population. Last year, SFGoodwill placed our participants in 688 jobs and transitional employment opportunities. In addition, SFGoodwill provided education, job training and employment services to 3,661 people in our 3-county region, and 11,000 visits were made to our Comprehensive Access Point Job Center. Other services address the needs of sepcific at-risk populations, including our Young Adult Court Program, a partnership with the San Francisco District Attorney, San Francisco Adult Probation, San Francisco Superior Court, the Department of Children, Youth and Families and Family Services Agency, which offers youth offenders the opportunity to start clean and maintain stable careers and lives.
