To inform its review, the Committee meets with the Institute's corporate officers and the external auditors who are responsible for preparing and signing the return. To inform its recommendations, the Committee reviews independent benchmark salary survey data for comparable positions in higher education, from sources such as the Association of Independent California Colleges and Universities (AICCU) and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). The Committee also reviews the specific job descriptions for each of these positions at the Institute, as well as any explanations of how the responsibilities of these positions vary from those of the positions in the survey data.
