These meals are provided "restaurant style" to help promote socialization and friendship among the seniors. The board is also provided with a paper copy of the return at the board meeting. Any comments will be documented and addressed until the return is finalized, and approved by the board for filing. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15a The Board of Directors' Executive Committee was advised by the "Strategy Group," an organization that provides technical support to non-profit organizations. In 2015, the Strategy Group conducted a compensation survey when the Executive Director search began. Included was a search of 990's from other like-organizations in order to determine the appropriate salary range for Greenwich Adult Day Care. This information was then shared with the Executive Committee. The Personnel Chair, President and Treasurer then make a recommendation of a percentage increase depending on the results of the annual evaluation, considering the appropriate range within the area industry. The executive director's performance is reviewed by the chair of the personnel committee and the president of the board of directors. Compensation is determined by the evaluation and the joint recommendation of the personnel chair, president, and treasurer of the board of directors. Approval of the performance evaluation is documented in a written self-evaluation report along with a chart of goals and updates which are review and submitted to the Preisdent, Personnel Chair, and Treauser and are kept on file. Additionally, a formal letter is provided to the Executive Director summarizing the Annual Review, which is kept on file. Performance Evaluations are completed annually. For other officers or employees, the budget for salaries is reviewed by the Finance & Investment committee and approved by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director evaluates the program director, the marketing & development director, and the administrative assistant, and awards compensation increases based on their evaluations. The Executive Director reviews all other employee evaluations and approves compensation increases based on those evaluations.
