This is done in two ways: 1. By maintaining a continuous and bona fide program for solicitation of funds from the general public community or membership group involved. This is evidenced by 1 maintenance of a public website www.fresnelshores.org which site includes a donation page. 2 maintenance of a donor database Bloomerang in which the foundation tracks donors and produces solicitation bulletins 3 the distribution of an annual fund appeal to a current list of approximately 125 supporters and distribution of a quarterly newsletters and fund appeals to a mailing list of approximately 500 supporters 4 listing for solicitations in the Benevity corporate matching program 5 listing for donations in the Your.Cause corporate matching program 6 listing for solicitation for donations in the We Give Catholic donation solicitations program 2. By carrying on activities designed to attract support from governmental units or other public charities. This is evidenced by the broad appeal of our mission to create institutions to serve women and families by providing healthcare with a focus on maintaining and restoring fertility health. In recognition of this goal the foundation received grants from a large public charity. An important additional consideration is that during the foundations first five-year period the Covid19 pandemic substantially hampered the foundation from conducting one-on-one meetings with donors and in-person meetings to recruit board members and to train them on how to conduct solicitation encounters. Despite this unusual and prolonged event the foundation has achieved substantial success towards its goals. Multi-Factor Analysis. The organization will show that it is in the nature of a publicly supported organization by considering the following four factors. 1Percentage of financial support. While the public support of the foundation is not yet 33.3% it has attained 32% public support level. It can be considered that the area of medicine being advocated by the foundation i.e. restorative reproductive medicine RRM is a new field and public education is necessary for a proper understanding of restorative reproductive medicine RRMs advantages over conventional approaches to reproductive health such as contraceptives and IVF. The foundation had thirty-eight donors unrelated to the founders; of these nineteen made donations between $500 and $15,000 during the five-year test period. One national non-profit charity made donations to the foundation exceeding $20,000. The foundations board has been multi-tasking focusing on fund-raising but to a larger extent on mission. Due to the success in opening the first clinic which already has 1600 patients and has had numerous live births to previously infertile couples the board has begun to transition its focus back to fund-raising and grant application to fund the next phase of its efforts. These new efforts to build the donor base are expected to be well received since the board can point to its success in creating the Veranova Health clinic model. 3The foundation has a representative governing body. Aside from the founding couple the board of the foundation has consisted of a medical doctor and persons trained-in and teaching fertility awareness -based methods FABMs. The boards mix has been both male and female board members aged from mid-twenties to mid-sixties and related to its mission and the wide-spectrum of the population it serves women both able and unable to achieve live births. 4. Availability of public facilities or services; public participation in programs or policies. The foundation provides services to the broad public in several ways: The Veranova Health clinics formed or to be formed by Fresnel Shores foundation are open to all people including by telehealth and take all forms of insurance including Medicaid The foundations grants for education in Restorative Reproductive Medicine are open to all medical professionals seeking skills to provide RRM and are advertised on its website and at medical conventions.
