In September, we completed the production for the sixth book of Old Testament History Book Bible Study Series The Book ofJudges. Churches and Christians today need tounderstand the precious message contained in The Bookof Judges, which serves as a mirror for our generation, sothat we may stand firm in our faith in this dark hour. Thisnewly-released Bible study set is the collective result of thededicated efforts, put forward by many volunteers and co-workers. To ensure that the study guide is easy to read andunderstand, we invited five brothers and sisters from different churches, each of them indifferent age group, to test the study guide by previewing scripture interpretation, designing icebreaker games and going through every question in the session of the Study Questions of the study guide.Since 2016, we started the planning of The Book of Job. We praise God for bringing in Dr. Chloe Sun as the presenter for this book. God graciously provided us a talented film team, including director David Liu and writer Abraham Rockferry, who has finished writing the script for The Book of Job. The team will film Dr. Suns part in Los Angeles at the end of this year. They will then shoot the rest of the film and finish the production in Florida by July 2018. Dr. Sun has agreed to continue to work with SOW for our next project - The Book of Psalms. It will be our second book in the Wisdom Book Bible Study Series . This July, SOWs Short-Term Mission Team conducted 8th season of bringing the gospel to the children in Taiwan. There are 22 members served in Miaoli, Hualien, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. Students of different ages got to hear about the love of Jesus Christ and the grace of salvation from The Book of Ruth. 2There were more than 100 students accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! Being able to have the first-hand experience of conducting altar calls, leading students to Christ with the sinners prayer, are definitely a very valuable experience in the journeyof serving God to all the mission team members. Even they have to wake up at six every day to do scripture devotion or stay up late todo lesson planning, this is all worth it. When I seethat each member was able to experience spiritualgrowth in their lives, and have a closer relationshipwith God after the short-term mission trip, my heartis full of gratitude and praise.In addition, we are blessed to have over 300 guests come to SOWs 2017 Thanksgivingand Fundraising Dinner. I am grateful that Sue Chen, our beloved and respectful director of Board, were the program hostess and many volunteers generously pour out their time to help our office staff to prepare the gift bags and table settings. My heart is filled with joy and gratitude to see everyone responded in the love and generosity in the body of Christ.At the same time, we are working on makingthe 1st multimedia Arabic Bible study set ByChinese Christians The Book of Esther inArabic. With the help of two Arabic-speakingpastors, Rev. Dr. Hisham Kamel from Egyptand Rev. Nabil Abraham from Jordan. Theyare missionaries among the Arabic speakingworld. Both of them are also pastoring two of the Arabic churches in Los Angeles countyand Orange County respectively. They helped us to translate and proofread the video scripts and study guide. We are now in the process of video dubbing, editing and book typesetting. We are planning to publish this Bible study set in Egypt by May 2018.
