The purpose of the Joint Operating Company is to provide a financially and operationally integrated organization for the common management and operation of the health care facilities and operations of AMH and ABHS while preserving the Adventist and Catholic identities and mission priorities that define AMH and ABHS, respectively. In April 2015, AMITA Health was announced as the d/b/a for Alexian Brothers-AHS Midwest Region Health Co.
